WILLESS, Rosanna

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 01/18/2005 Rosanna Mangum Willess, 68, died Jan. 9, 2005 in Mesa after a lengthy battle with cancer. Rosanna was born in Eagar July 23, 1936. She has made Arizona her home for the past 32 years. Rosanna loved people and enjoyed visiting with friends and acquaintances. She loved the scriptures and spent many hours feeding upon their sacred truths. She served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Melbourne, Australia. Her survivors include her mother, Catherine Hofmann Mangum; children David B. Willess, Phoenix, Kay and Tim Slaysman, Mesa; three grandchildren, Kalan, Jordan and David Willess; as well as brothers, Thomas Mangum, Pinedale; Doug Mangum, Lakeside; and Bart Mangum, Gallup, New Mexico; sisters Louise Adams, Colo.; Margaret Baca, Colorado and Barbara Dougharty, Show Low. Her husband and father precedes her in death. Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 15 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Amity Chapel. Burnham-Jewkes Mortuary, Eagar, handled the arrangements.
