Thomas Verdell Bloomfield, 77, died Jan. 12, 2005 at his home in St. Johns.
He was born Feb. 3, 1927 in St. Johns and spent his life there. He served in the United States Army from 1943 -1951. He retired from Arizona Department of Transportation in 1989.
His survivors include his wife Odet Johnston Bloomfield; sons Ronald Scott (Liz) Bloomfield, Houston, Texas; James Edward (Cheryl) Bloomfield, Farmington, New Mexico; daughters Vicki Darlene (Marc) Griffiths, Venice, Utah; Carolyn Ray (Delos) Bond, St. Johns; Kimberli Agnes (Robert) VandeBerg, Mountain Home, Idaho, 15 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Also surviving him are his sisters Doris Mincy, Mesa; Mary Jane Todd, Gallup, New Mexico; and Judy (Solmon) Dominguez, St. Johns.
Preceding him in death was his father Thomas Bloomfield, mother Elda Ruebush and step-father A.C. Ruebush.
Funeral services were Monday, Jan. 17 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Stake Center in St. Johns.
