Ethel Russell, 85, went home to be with the Lord, Sept 20, 2007, at the Good Samaritan Society Prescott Valley. She was born Feb. 21, 1922, in Eufala, Okla., to John and Annie (Hefner) Nelson. The family moved to Buckeye in 1936 because of Ethel's asthma.
She married Buster Russell, May 23,1941. They moved to Prescott in 1952, then to PV in 1972.
Ethel was preceded in death by her husband, brother, mother and father.
She is survived by her children, Marva & Clarence Ingles, O'Fallon, III., Peggy Russell, PV, Gloria & Bill Grose, PV; Delbert & Dorthea Russell, Dewey; Jerry & Carol Russell, Port Byron, NY; 13 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Ruby (Nelson) & Charles Russell, Grand Junction, CO; and Jean (Nelson) & Hershel Jewel, Lakeside, AZ.
Ethel was a loving wife & mother. She shared her love for Jesus with everyone she knew.
A celebration of her life will take place Sept. 27, 2007, viewing will be at 8:30 a.m., with service at 9:30 a.m. at Fountain of Life Community Church, 3160 N Lynx Lake Dr, PV, with Rev Dan Crouch officiating.
Graveside service will be at the National VA Cemetery in Phoenix at 2 p.m.
