Anthony S. Paris, 70, died at home with his family at his side on Friday Sept. 14, 2007, following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born July 14, 1937, in Kokomo, Indiana, to the late Dr. Durward W. Paris and Mary Mae Paris Harrison.
He graduated from KHS, and attended Purdue University. Tony moved to San Diego, Calif. where he met and married his wife Kelleen, and began his long carrier with General Dynamics/Astronautics.
Retiring in 1994 Tony and Kelly moved to Arizona. Looking for a "fun job," he became a Shuttle-U driver. A position he held for several years and dearly loved. On 9/11, he was on the way to the airport with several passengers when his wife called him to tell of the attack. His passion was baseball and football, and once a little league coach.
Tony is survived by his wife of 47 years; son Brandon, his wife Gina, son Dayne and four grandchildren, Kaleb, Neena, Winter and Ysabella; and sister, Roberta Paris Bingham.
There will be a Memorial Party but the date has not yet been set.
Donations may be sent to YRMC Hospice, without whose help we would have been lost. God bless you Tiffany and Charlotte.
Wakelin Funeral Home in Prescott Valley assisted with the arrangements.
