Arizona Daily Journal Miner (Prescott AZ) Thursday, September 26, 1901, p 1 A Pioneer's Death Steve Condron, one of the pioneers of this county, died last evening at 6 o'clock at the Sister' hospital where he had been under the treatment of Dr McNally for about two weeks. He was afflicted with Bright's disease and heart disease. Several years ago he was injured by being thrown off a wagon and he never fully recovered from the effects of it, yet despite his age and infirmities he made the trip to Klondyke during the first excitement and remained there almost a year. Deceased was about 65 years old at the time of his death. He came to this section in the sixties and had remained in the county ever since, being located at Walnut Grove where he owned a fine ranch. During his last illness he was nursed devotedly by his wife, and she took his remains to Walnut Grove today for burial. Besides her he leaves two children to mourn his loss. He was an honorable and upright man and a good citizen, one whose death is a keenly felt loss to the community in which he lived.
