BURK, Ernest Hubert


The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Saturday, September 2, 2006 Ernest Hubert Burk passed away peacefully on Aug. 30, 2006, surrounded by many of his loved ones. A native Arizonan, he was born and raised in Nutrioso. Ernie loved his country and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. His heart was never far from the outdoors and his beloved White Mountains, where he loved to fish and to enjoy nature. His heart ofgold will live on through his posterity. He is survived by his sister, Nina (and Reef) Kelly; his daughter-in-law, Carol Hall; and his children Frances (and David) Perry, Robert Burk, Beverly Nuttall, Connie (and Cris) Brownlow, Rusty (and Conni) Burk, Luan (and Dave) Bennett; as well as 31 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren. A lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, his funeral will be held at the chapel he helped construct at 1001 Ruth St., in Prescott. Viewing will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 4, and the funeral at 11 a.m. Internment will follow at the Arizona Pioneers Cemetery.
