The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ October 12, 1978, p. 5 FRANK A. MONTE Frank A. Monte was buried Wednesday this week in the Wickenburg Cemetery. He was killed Sunday when the jeep in which he was a passenger overturned in the desert some distance north of here. Services were at the Wickenburg Funeral Home at 3 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. The Rev. W. W. Hutchison of the First Presbyterian Church officiated. Mr. Monte was a life-long resident of the state. He was born in Congress 69 years ago, then moved to Mayer where he worked at the Iron King Mine. He was employed as a miner in Yucca until 1973, when he retired, and moved to Wickenburg in 1975. Survivors are a sister, Sarah Hershkowitz of Wickenburg, a brother, Carlos of California; a nieces Joyce Fields, Shirley Wachter, Carol Black, and Beverly Raneriz; nephews William, George, and Richard Hershkowitz, Mack Dowdy and Randy Monte; 14 great nephews and nieces; and seven great-great-nephews. Mr. Monte was a member of the Elks Lodge.
