Joshua Gilbert Clifton went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Sept. 9, 2006, at the age of 19. He was attending Embry-Rlddle Aeronautical University in Prescott, studying Aerospace Engineering.
While at Embry-Riddie, Joshua started a Billiard's Club, of which he was president. He was also active in the intramural sport of rugby. He was an active member at Hope Church, where he accompanied the church on many missionary trips. He was a very hard worker, getting involved in many community service programs.
Joshua leaves behind his mother and stepfather, Pebby and Marc Shields; father and stepmother, Glenn and Kayla Clifton; grandparents, Jimmie and Linda Garner, Emma Clifton, Ronald M. Shields, Sharon Adams; sister, Naomi Lynn Clifton; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and many friends.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 14, at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South in San Antonio, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 15, at the funeral home, with Pastor Tom Masterson officiating.
Interment will follow in Mission Burial Park South in San Antonio.
