DEL TUFO, Albert

The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ Wednesday, May 19, 2010, pg A-5 Albert Del Tufo, a long time resident of Circle City, Ariz., passed away after a six-month battle with cancer, on May 11 at the age of 79. Al was born in Newark, N.J., on Oct. 4, 1930 and lived in Bloomfield, N.J., during his young life until 1967 when he and his family relocated to Arizona. He attended Glendale Community College in Arizona and had the pleasure of assisting football coaching duties in Glendale and in Wickenburg. For 12 years he enjoyed tending to the Remuda Camp riders of the Desert Los Caballeros Annual Horse ride in Wickenburg. He has made many great friends through this ride and through coaching. Al is survived by his wife Jo of 58 years; his children Albert Del Tufo and wife Patti of Barnegat, N.J.; Janet DelTufo and Patrick Hutchins of Circle City, Ariz.; and Jodi DelTufo Church and husband David Church of Peoria, Ariz.; his five grandchildren Tarrah and Daniele of Barnegat N. J.; Candice, Daniel and Brent of Peoria, Ariz.; also not to forget his eight precious great-grandchildren Josh, Carlee, Aidan, Skylar, Brody, Adyson, Gabriel and Gianna. A Memorial Mass will take place at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Wickenburg, on Saturday, June 5 and will begin at 10 a.m. Funeral services are being handled by David’s Desert Chapel and Funeral Home of Wickenburg. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ Wednesday, May 26, 2010 I would like to make a public apology to Dr. Stanley Del Tufo of Bennington, Vermont for omitting his name from the obituary of his dear and only brother, Albert Del Tufo. This was a horrendous oversight as they were such close brothers and friends all their lives and actually spoke to each other by phone almost every day over the past many years. They had tremendous love for each other and have even shared the same birth date, two years apart. Stanley you were omitted but in no way will ever be forgotten. Jo Del Tufo Circle City, Ariz.
