MARTIN, Edna Mae

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, September 13, 2006 Edna Mae Martin, age 78, died Sept. 10, 2006, at home in Prescott Valley. She was born Oct. 13, 1927, in Seminole, Okla., to Spencer and Oma (Salsman) Gardner. Edna worked as a registered nurse in Casper, Wyo., and Pauls Valley, Okla. Edna loved being a nurse. She was an avid fisherman, enjoying this pastime with both her husbands. She caught anything from bass to turtles. Edna kept up with politics and current events. Most of all, Edna was a devoted mother and homemaker. She had many friends in the Prescott Valley area where she lived for 20 years. Edna was preceded in death by her children's father, Robert Lyons; her second husband, Billy J. Martin; her oldest son, Robert S. Lyons; sister, Betty Dever; and her parents, Spencer and Oma Gardner. Edna is survived by her daughter, Deborah J. Lyons of Prescott Valley; son, Michael Lyons of Springdale, Ark.; grandchildren, Megan.Amanda, Christine, and Robert; and nine great-grandchildren; stepdaughter, Danna Martin of Oklahoma; and stepson, Paul Martin of Wisconsin.
