The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Friday, September 15, 2006 Tammy Lee Reed LaGourgue Tammy was born in Marion, Va., to Lewis and Rose Reed. She moved with her family to many places. She graduated high school in Biglerville, Pa. Tammy received her LPN degree from Hanover Hospital in Pennsylvania. She worked in Pennsylvania for a state hospital before she moved to the desert Southwest to be near her aunt, and later her parents in Black Canyon. Tammy worked at the Arizona Pioneers' Home before she took a position as Public Health Nurse at YCHD, where she worked for many years before retiring. She was a terrific bartender at various establishments in Prescott as a second vocation. Tammy was a devoted and avid horse, dog and cat lover. Tammy was preceded in death by her sister Robin and her father. Tammy is survived by her devoted husband, Kenny LaGourgue; her mother, Rose Reed; Dr. Jody Murph (Ed) of Iowa City, Iowa; her brother, Lewis Reed Jr.; and nieces and nephews. Tammy loved boating, the sun and spending time with family and friends. She was always full of life and love and curiosity and was a good friend to many who knew her. Her contagious laugh will be in our hearts forever. Tammy was very special. She was a caring wife, daughter, sister and friend arid will be greatly missed by many. A celebration of Tammy's life will take place from noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 17, at the Windsock on Iron Springs Road. Food will be provided by Taco Don's Restaurant. In lieu of flowers, donations could go to Yavapai Guidance Clinic or Yavapai Exceptional Industries. The Hampton Funeral Home was entrusted with final arrangements. Information provided by survivors.
