The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 02/04/2005 Floyd Ray Johnson, 56, died Monday, Jan. 31, 2005 at his home in Show Low. He was born in Phoenix, and has lived in Arizona his whole life. Floyd was a member of the V.F.W. No. 9907 in Show Low, as well as the American Legion in Overgaard. He served in the Army during the Vietnam Era. During his service he was in the Bandido Charlie 1st Battalion,16th Infantry, and Army Airborne Rangers E-5 SGT. Floyd enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting and target practice. Floyd is survived by her mother, Marteen Johnson of Show Low; children, David Ray Johnson, Jamie Johnson, and Teresa Johnson all of Phoenix; five grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, and one brother. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 5 at the Show Low V.F.W. Hall. Owens Mortuary of Show Low handled the service.
