Wille J. Rhoton, 92, died Saturday, March 5, 2005 in Peoria.
She was born and raised in Lakeside, the daughter of Louis and Theresa Flake Johnson. After graduating from High School she went to Beauty School and became a hairdresser. She worked as a hairdresser and cosmetician for over sixty years. Wille married Paul Gardner May 30, 1933 in the Arizona Temple in Mesa. He passed away in 1981.
She then married W. Dow Rhoton in August 1982. He passed away in 2002. Wille was a life long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had served in many capacities. She especially loved teaching speech and drama. Throughout her life Wille loved to travel and she has traveled throughout the world.
Wille is survived by her two sons, Ron Gardner of Pima, Skip Gardner of Colton Oregon; daughter, Vicki Reed of Phoenix; three brothers, Lloyd Johnson of Desert Hot Springs, Calif., Wendall Johnson of Colville, WA, Doyle Johnson of Salt Lake City, Utah; one sister, Tess Rhan of Glendale, AZ; 12 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 12 at the Pinetop Lakeside Stake Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Visitation will be held Friday March 11 from 6-8 p.m. at Owens Mortuary in Show Low and one-hour prior to services at the Chruch. Interment will be in the Lakeside Cemetery.
