WEBSTER, Dean Edmond


The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Friday, September 14, 2007 Dean Edmond Webster passed away Sept. 12, 2007, at the Veteran's hospital in Prescott Ariz., after a long fight with cancer. Mr. Webster was born Feb. 13, 1936, in Shiawasee County, Mich., to George B. and Ester L. (Boudot) Webster. Dean was a graduate of Owosso High School in 1955. Mr. Webster joined the Navy immediately following his graduation in 1955 and received an honorable discharge in 1959. He married Geraldine (Geri) (Davis) Wells on March 23, 1974, in Owosso, Mich., and then relocated to Phoenix Ariz., in 1976. Mr. Webster worked for Otto Trucking in Phoenix for many years before retiring in Prescott Valley, Ariz., in 2003. Dean worked a short time for Donaldson Trucking in Prescott Valley before coming ill with bone cancer. As a young adult, Mr. Webster was a pilot and loved flying. Dean loved being outdoors, his hobbies included hiking, hunting, camping, fishing working on cars and motorcycles and just being out in the yard. His parents and his brothers, Carl and Kenneth, preceded Dean in death. He is survived by his sisters, Lucille Joyce Fisher, Bessie (Bernard) Scott, both of Owosso, Mich., and Jean Webster of Phoenix Ariz.; his brothers, Roy (Sharon) Webster, also of Phoenix Ariz., and Richard (Karen) Webster of Enid Okla.; 12 nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and -nephews. He also leaves behind his wife of 33 years and three stepchildren, Debbie Wade of Page, Ariz., Michael Wells of Phoenix, Ariz., and Denny (Doug) Freier of Greybull, Wyo. Dean will be sadly missed by his 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandsons. Military Funeral Honors Ceremony and Memorial will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2007, at the Veteran Memorial Hospital Chapel, 500 N. Highway 89, in Prescott, Ariz.
