The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ March 15, 1979, p. 11 CHARLES MAYER A former foreman of the Diamond 2 Ranch at Walnut Grove, and widely-known among old time Wickenburg area residents, Charles Mayer, 69, died Thursday last week in the Yavapai Community Hospital in Prescott. He was a veteran of World War II. He is survived by a daughter, Charlotte Newton; two sons, Richard Mayer, Yarnell, and Butch, at the ranch; a sister, and two grandchildren. Graveside services were Monday afternoon this week in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
