BURNS, William Howard

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Saturday, September 29, 2007 William Howard Burns, 75, of Prescott Valley, Ariz., went home to the Lord on Sept. 26, 2007. Howard was the fourth of nine children growing up in Greensburg, Ind. When he was 14, the family moved to Phoenix, Ariz. Howard began working for M & W Lath and Plastering at the age of 18and continued for the next 43 years. Howard built many houses throughout northern Arizona over the years. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mae Dean; two daughters, Elaine Scott and Jeanette Lamb; one son ,Michael Burns; five grandchildren, Billy, Bobby, Chris, Tracy and Brittany Mae; as well as eight great-grand-children. Howard is also survived by his three sisters, Ethel Melton, Opal McCarty and Helen Womble. Howard was beloved by all his family and will be greatly missed. Private services will take place.
