The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ April 12, 1979, p. 6 RUSSELL OVERTON A long-time winter visitor, S. Russell Overton, 75, of South Haven, Mich., died last Sunday in the South haven Community Hospital. He was a 25-year member of the Desert Caballeros and has been an active member of the Wickenburg County Club. Mr. Overton and his family owned a winter home here more than 20 years and had been coming here to guest ranches before buying a home here. He owned a wood products company and manufactured such items as bowling pins for Brunswick and gun stocks for the U. S. Army. He belonged to the St. Basil Catholic Church, the South haven Yacht Club and South haven Country Club and the Elks Lodge. Surviving are his widow, Carol; a daughter, Kathryn Mezak of South Haven; two sons, Frank W. of South Haven and jerry of New York City, and six grandchildren. Services were Wednesday this week in St. Basil’s Catholic Church in South haven, with burial there in Lake View Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the St. Basil’s Catholic School fun or the American Cancer Society.
