The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ April 26, 1979, p. 8 HELEN F. JOHNSON Mrs. Herbert E. Johnson, 77, owner and operator of Johnson’s Dry Goods store here, died Sunday in Phoenix. Her husband, with whom she had operated the store here and other stores in Parker, Phoenix, Stanfield, Scottsdale and Safford, died early last year. Mrs. Johnson had lived here 34 years. Her daughter, Betty, and son-in-law, Christ Christian, had assisted her in operation of the store here in recent years. She was a member of the Hassayampa Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star. Also surviving are another daughter, Joy Butler, of Scottsdale; two brothers, two sisters and six grandchildren. Services were Tuesday this week in the First Presbyterian Church, the Rev. W. W. Hutchison officiating, with burial in the Wickenburg Cemetery.
