SHAFER, Frank Finley

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Tuesday, May 2, 1972 Frank Finley Shafer, 85, of 1919 Rocky Dells Drive, died on Sunday, April 30, at Yavapai Community Hospital. Born on July 15, 1886, at La Grande, Ore., Shafer came to Prescott from Portland, Ore., in 1965. He was a retired railroad machinist. Survivors include three sons, C. Emmett, of Prescott; Vernon of Yakima, Wash.; and Kenneth, of Milwaukee, Ore. Also a brother John and a sister Mrs. Chris Johnson, both of Portland and five grandchildren. Shafer was a long-time member of the National Rifle Association. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 3, at the Ruffner Funeral Home with the Rev. Mr. Walter L. Singer of the American Lutheran Church officiating. Private interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-7 this evening at the Ruffner Funeral Home.
