VERDICK, Wilmer (Bill) Joseph

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 03/11/2005 Wilmer "Bill" Joseph Verdick, 79, died March 7, 2005 at his home in Springerville. He was born May 30, 1925 in Yorkstown, Ill. He married Connie Misenhimer Lang in November of 1963. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1947 to 1952 and was honorably discharged as a Third Class Gunner. He was deployed out of San Diego, Calif. and returned to Norfolk, Va. Bill served as vice president and president of the Springerville Chamber of Commerce. He served one term on the Springerville City Counsel. He loved children. He enjoyed many activities, including deep sea fishing and boating at Lake Powell. His stepbrother William J. Verdick, Rochester, Minn. survives him. His wife Connie preceded him in death. Arrangements were handled at Burnham-Jewkes Mortuary, Springerville.
