The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 03/11/2005 Lance William Lucas born in Phoenix Feb. 20, 1987 left this world March 9, 2005 to fulfill his mission with his Heavenly Father. Lance was a very kind, loving, sharing person. He shared his parents with 18 adopted siblings. Lance had many accomplishments in his life. At the age of 15, Lance became an Eagle Scout. He graduated this year from Blue Ridge (he was the first grad this year). He graduated from Seminary at the LDS Church. He loved fly fishing, sky diving, snorkeling, ski blading, white water rafting and many outdoor activities. Lance's courage dealing with his illness served as an inspiration for all that knew him. His love for adventure will forever remain in his family's hearts. Lance is survived by his parents David and Diana Lucas; his siblings J.D., Ashley, Alaina, Alla, Andre, Zhenya, Zoya, Kieth, Sasha, Nastja, Kyle, Angelina, Nikolai, Olecya, Sergei, Katya, Valentina, DJ, Natalya, Maria, Ariana; his brother-in-law Mike Parisi; sister-in-law Joell; grandparents Jim and Georgia Clawson, Bill and Jeanne Lucas and his nephew Zachary. A public viewing will be held Friday, March 11 from 6-9 p.m. at Fletcher's Mortuary. A private service will be held to celebrate Lance's life.
