Betty Jane (Schwartz) Selander Betty J. Selander, 81, passed away February 11, 2007 in Prescott, Az. She was born April 18, 1925 in Talbot, Michigan, the daughter of Andrew and Gertrude Schwartz. Betty moved to Prescott, Az. in 1996. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Lee Melton; son-in-law, Ken Melton; brother, Charles Schwartz; sister-in-law, Nancy A. Schwartz, nine nephews and two nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edsel Selander; her brothers Jack, Clarence and Ted Schwartz; sisters, Isabel Schwartz, Marcell A. Ehman, Dorothy Glaser, Rosemary Ames and Beatrice Hinckle. Betty graduated from Escanaba High School, Escanaba, Michigan in 1942. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2007 at 11:00 am, at the Heritage Memory Mortuary, 131 Grove Ave., Prescott, Az. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Pines, Hope and Care Foundation, 13175 E. Highway 169, Dewey, Arizona, 86327.
