The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, August 29, 2007 Bobby Clifton Coats Our beloved husband and father, Bobby Clifton Coats, 68, left us Monday, Aug. 13, 2007, to join our Lord and Savior after a short battle with cancer while at home with family and friends. Bobby was born on March 19, 1939 in Prescott, Ariz., to John and Ester Coats. In 1957, he joined the Marine Corps to serve his country. Later, in 1963, he married Dorres, the love of his life. Together, they had two sons. He and his family moved to Elko from Bagdad, Ariz., in 1986; during which time he took an equipment operator position with Newmont Mining Corp., until his retirement in 2002. Throughout his life, he enjoyed roping, golfing, hunting, fishing and spending time with family, friends and grandchildren. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ester Coats; brother, Larry and his sister, Nina. He is survived by his wife, Dorres; sons, Jeff (Mary) and Darren (Bobbi); grandchildren, Jeffrey, ReeAnna, Colby and Bryce; sister, Joyce Culp (Robert), all of Elko. He is also survived by a brother, William Arnett of Prescott, Ariz., sisters, Bonnie (Bill) McGrew, of Kirkland, Ariz. And Betty Humphreys of Chickasha, Okla., and many other family members and friends. The memorial service was Saturday, Aug. 25 at the Calvary Baptist Church. Information provided by family members.
