SMITH, Roland John (Smitty)

Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona, Monday, May 3, 2010. R.J. (Smitty) passed away April 12, 2010 in Tangent, Ore., from heart complications. He was born to Roland and Arlene Smith on Oct. 5, 1939, in Glendale, Calif. After graduating from North Hollywood High School, he continued to work in the heavy equipment industry. His interests were sports cars, high-speed cars, and antique cars. His three daughters, Lisa Marie Smith Lopez, Valerie Ann Smith Rawlinson, Michelle Smith; three grandchildren, Meghan Lopez, Taylor Lopez, David Rawlinson; a sister, Joannie Wamhoff; many cousins and his Aunt Betty Ganzel, survive him. His family would like to thank Diane Wade and Jim Jorgenson, who are Hospice volunteers, for all their caring ways. He lived his life his way
