SPRENG, Douglas Carder


Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona, Saturday, April 24, 2010. Douglas Carder Spreng passed away April 19, 2010 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona at the age of 78. He was born on Feb. 7, 1932, in Chicago, IL. Douglas worked as an electronic engineer for PG&E in Needles, Calif., before retiring from Oceanside, Calif., to Lake Havasu City 38 years ago. He was honest, kind and loving. He was always available to help his friends with Ham radios. He was very patriotic. He is in the Hall of Fame for a device designed for radio communications when he was 26 years old. He was a genius. Douglas is survived by his favorite lady and beloved fiancé, Bernita Rossum; and his many friends. A memorial service will be at the Community Presbyterian Church at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
