Bruce L. Creed, 61, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona died unexpectedly at his home April 21, 2010. He was born in Mexico, Mo., Oct. 18, 1948, a son of C.L. (Curly) Creed and Evah Le (Vandelicht) Creed. Bruce married Carol (Horton) Brayton Aug. 17, 1996.
From a very young age, Bruce was always involved in construction. It was his passion. He retired from Q&D Construction, where he was CEO. He then continued to consult and problem-solve independently through Bruce Creed Construction. He attended college in Boulder, Colo. He was an active member of Hilltop Community Church and was always there to help or lend a hand. He and Carol enjoyed traveling, hiking and his greatest love: rock crawling. He loved the many friends and adventures that were shared by his buddies as well as the morning coffee chats. Affectionately called “Buggy Bruce,” he had a special place in his heart for children, especially his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his beloved father, C.L. (Curly) Creed; his daughter, Megan Creed; and a granddaughter, MaKayla Creed.
He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Carol Creed, of Lake Havasu City; his daughter, Haley Mock, of Beaver Dam, Wis.; his mother, Evah Le Creed, of Fulton, Mo.; his best friend and sister, Debra (Al) Broeker, of Lake of the Ozarks, Mo.; his stepchildren, Laura (Ken) Johnson, of Las Vegas, Kim (Jerry) Jensen ,of Neenah, Wis., Wendy (Jim) Pollnow, of Oshkosh, Wis.; his grandchildren, Taylor Creed and Ava Mock, both of Beaver Dam, Wis., Ross Hobbs, of Las Vegas, Douglas Burdick, of Corpus Christi, Texas, Rhienna Jensen of Appleton, Wis., Bethany (Christopher) Fenske, of Neenah, Wis., Valerie Pollnow, of Oshkosh, Wis., and Kaurista Jensen of Neenah, Wis.; his niece, Leah (Fernando) Gonzalez, of Saint Louis, and nephew Ryan Broeker, of Rifle, Colo.; and one great-grandson, Cole Fenske, of Neenah, Wis.???
His memorial will be at Hilltop Community Church, Lake Havasu City at 11 a.m. Tuesday, with the reverend Mike Tucker officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Fulton, Mo. Visitation for friends and family will begin at 10 a.m. until the time of service.
Bruce loved challenges, adventure and helping others succeed. He had a gift that would give others strength to move forward. We will miss his genuine love, motivation and witty character.?
