Ina Ruth Baker passed away on April 15, 2010 in Lake Havasu City at the age of 98. Ina was born on March 6, 1912, in Buffalo, Ind. to Oscar and Avada (Sheets) McCloud.
Ina met and married Dale Baker in Indiana on Sept. 18, 1929 and the pair was together for 64 and a half years until Dale’s passing. While living in Indiana, Ina was a member of the Eagles Lodge in Peru, Ind. They then moved to El Segundo, Calif., where Ina went to work for International Rectofier, a position she held for 11 years. While in El Segundo, she became a member of the Rebekah Lodge.
Ina and Dale moved to Lake Havasu City 39 years ago from El Segundo and they became members of the Moose Lodge. One of her favorite pastimes was crocheting, something she enjoyed all her life.
Ina is survived by her sons, Dwight Baker, of Stanwood, Wash., Jerry Baker, of Prescott; daughter, Marilyn Lovelace, of Dunnellon, Fla.; brothers, Harold McCloud, of Lafayette, Ind. and Keith McCloud, of Monticello, Ind.; sisters, Margaret and Betty, both of Lafayette, Ind. and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her daughters, Ann Elkins and Goldia Younglove; son, Bryan Baker as well as her beloved husband, Dale.
Viewing and visitation will be held on Thursday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. with graveside services to be held at 11 a.m. at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens.
