Rosetta Barnett Watson Brunner, July 7, 1921 - June 19, 2003. Rosetta was born to John Barnett and Nellie (Flowers) Barnett on July 7, 1921 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma. Rosetta's family moved to Arizona in 1927.
It was at Laveen Elementary & Nelson Elementary that Rosetta received her early education. Always believing in education. Rosetta was very proud of the fact that she returned to school as an adult to complete High School at Phoenix Union. Rosetta went on to build a long career of 35 years as a licensed vocational nurse. Her life's example taught her children and grandchildren that with education & hard work - they could have whatever their hearts desired.
From her first marriage to Newman Watson, Rosetta had two children Clemon and Irene. Rosetta became a member of The Church Of The Living God under Reverend Robert Triplett in 1950, while living in Fresno, California. Rosetta remained a loyal member of the church under Bishop Jeff Ruffin in Phoenix, Arizona until her passing. Rosetta touched everyone she met. Her unwavering kindness toward humankind made her truly angelic. Treating others like she wished to be treated. No one could ever steal her joy or kindness.
Rosetta was preceded in death by her husband Osband Brunner; nine brothers and two sisters. She leaves to cherish her loving memory, son Clemon Watson of Phoenix, AZ; daughter Irene (Watson) Whitten (Johnny) of Gilbert, AZ; sister Lena Mae Gunter of Fresno, CA; brother Gerald Barnett of Los Angeles, CA; 4 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; several great-grandchildren along with a host of other family and friends. Rosetta was 81 and resided in Gilbert AZ.
Visitation 6/27/03 5-7 pm Resthaven Park Mortuary, Phoenix, AZ. Services 6/28/03 11 am Church of the Living God 1248 E. Roeser Rd, Phoenix, AZ.
