The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 03/29/2005 William J. Harr, 86, died Saturday, March 26, 2005 at his home in Lakeside, Arizona. He was born Feb. 11, 1919 in Clinton, Iowa and graduated from Clinton High School. William went on to Iowa State University where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in ceramic engineering. He became a licensed professional engineer and retired from Aerojet General as a Quality Control Engineer. William was a volunteer fireman, Boy Scout leader and explorer post advisor. He is survived by one son, Jay (Tricia) Harr; Grandchildren, Caleb Durant, David and Peggy Halkola; and great-grandchildren, Ashley and Nicole Halkola, Leigh and Mary Van Aspern and Sharon Knudson. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, April 1 at Roseville Cemetery in Roseville, California. Owens Mortuary of Show Low, Arizona and Reichert's Funeral Service of Citrus Heights, California handled the arrangements.
