ERVIN, Jimmy Dale (Spanky)


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 04/05/2005 Jimmy Dale "Spanky" Ervin died Saturday, April 2, 2005 in Lakeside. Jimmy was born in La Jolla, Calif. Aug. 30, 1958 but moved to Abilene, Texas as a child. He met Cynthia Archa in 1982 and they were married the following year. They have had five wonderful daughters, each with an unmistakable unique call of Christ on their lives. Alissa, Latrisha, Vanessa, Dalaina and Dahlila. In his early years Jimmy was a cook but switched careers and became a painter and handyman. In his free time Jimmy loved to travel and always took the opportunity to teach others about the love of Christ. He was very serious with a passionate zeal for the teachings Jesus Christ. Jimmy was a wonderful and loving Dad. As a Disciple of Christ he has gone to be with the Lord. Jimmy is survived by his wife, Cynthia; five daughters, Alissa and son-in-law Jay Midkiff of Lakeside, Latrisha, Vanessa, Dalainan, and Dahlila Ervin all of Lakeside. Also one dear and wonderful brother, Jackie R. Walker of Navasota, Texas. Private family services will be held. Owens Mortuary of Show Low handled the arrangements.
