The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 04/05/2005 Virginia Fay Bowles, 43, died Wednesday March 30, 2005. She was born in Nevada and moved to Arizona when she was 3 years old. After graduating High School Virginia attended Glendale Community College and A.S.U. West, receiving a Bachelors of Science in Nursing. She went to work at the Maricopa Medical Center in the Pediatric Unit. She later moved to the White Mountains and worked in Whiteriver. Virginia became the Obstetrical Supervisory Clinical Nurse at the I H S Hospital. Last year she completed her Certified Aroma Therapy Practitioner. Virginia married Gary Bowles Sept. 5, 1999 and lived in Show Low. She loved the outdoors, fishing, and camping. Patient Care was her passion. She was a giving person, known for her laughter and her big heart. Virginia will be greatly missed by all that knew her. Virginia is survived by her husband, Gary Bowles of Show Low; son, Jamie Lee Daugherty of Phoenix; step son, David Bowles of Long Beach, California; father, Clarence J. Daugherty of Douglas; mother, Ethelyn Fay Daugherty of Lakeside; two granddaughters, Margaret and Amanda; brothers, Terrell Daugherty, Randall Smith, Bryan Smith, Chad Smith. She was preceded in death by her stepdaughter, Megan Bowles. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 5 at the White Mountain Bible Church with visitation Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Owens Mortuary in Show Low.
