JAMES J. COUGHLIN
James J. Coughlin, 61, died Friday, July 20 at his Peepleās Valley ranch.
Born October 27, 1917 at Milwaukee, Wis., he moved to Arizona in 1945.
Mr. Coughlin was a cattle rancher. At the time of his death he was serving as 1st Vice-president of the Arizona cattle Growers Association. He was a board member of the National Cattle Growers Association. Past president and charter member of the Public Lands Council, past president of Yavapai Cattle Growers Association. He was also a member of the B.L.M. district Grazing Advisory Board, and a member of the Prescott Elks Lodge No. 330.
During World War II he served with the American Field Service in Indian. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Prescott.
Mass of Resurrection was at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 25 at Sacred Heart Church in Prescott. Private interment followed.
The family suggests memorials to the James D. Coughlin Memorial Fund, in care of P. O. Box 61, Prescott, Az. 86302. Memorials are to be used as Range Science Scholarships.
