BLECHA, Gertrude (Trudy)

Thompson's Valley West Funeral Chapel Goodyear, Arizona Gertrude "Trudy" Blecha The heavens welcomed its newest angel in the form of Gertrude Blecha. Trudy peacefully passed away on May 24. Trudy was born to J. Floyd and M. Florence McDaniel in Chicago on January 29, 1929. At the age of 21, Trudy married Raymond Blecha. She and her husband moved to Arizona with their children in 1962. Their bond of love lasted over 53 years until Raymond's death in 2004. Trudy is survived by her three children and their spouses, Randall and Mary Blecha, Steve and Rene Blecha, and Rhonda and Calvin Birkey. Furthermore, Trudy will always be remembered as a loving grandmother to her six grandchildren and six great grandchildren and as a wonderful aunt to her niece (Debi Heinrich) and three nephews (Jeff, Scott and John McDaniel) and their families. Gertrude Blecha considered herself so very lucky to have enjoyed so many true and lasting friendships over the years. The wonderful smells that always came from her kitchen will be greatly missed by friends and family alike. Trudy Blecha will be laid to rest beside her husband in the Paradise Memorial Gardens, 9300 East Shea Blvd. in Scottsdale.
