REED, Bob Joe

Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona, Published Wednesday, May 26, 2010. Bob Joe Reed passed away May 19, 2010 in Lake Havasu City at the age of 77. Bob was born Feb. 23, 1933, in Big Spring, Texas, to Edgar Jay and Ellen Opal Reed. Bob Joe resided in Lake Havasu City beginning in the early ’90s after moving here from Big Bear Lake, Calif. He was a good, average man and enjoyed good food, working on autos, and he was a superb carpenter. When he was in high school, he held the record for the things he made in shop class. His family still uses the items he made back in the ’50s. At this point, they are now collectibles. He is survived by his sons, Randy and Todd Reed; his brother, Gene Reed; his sister, Patsy N. Neill; and five grandchildren. Mr. Reed is preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Opal, and his loving wife, Karen. Services are to be held at a later date.
