Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona, Published Tuesday, April 13, 2010. Patricia Ann Romero passed away April 9, 2010 in Lake Havasu City at the age of 61. She was born to Salomon and Hellen (Fuller) Deane July 27, 1948, in Alexandria, Va. Patricia married her beloved, George Phillip Romero on June 18, 1983, and together they made Lake Havasu City their home 16 years ago from San Bernardino, Calif. While she resided in San Bernardino, she was President of Child Help USA for four years and administrator for Option House for five years. Patricia was a devout Christian and a member of the Elks and Moose Lodge. She enjoyed gardening, bowling, water skiing, sewing, scrapbooking and going to Laughlin. Patricia leaves behind her loving husband of 26 years, George Romero, of Lake Havasu City; sons, Donald Romero, of Oak Hills, Calif., John Romero, of Laguna Niguel, Calif., and Dwight Lee Smith, of Stockton, Calif.; daughters, Sally Nichole Koltunik, of Trabuco Canyon, Calif., and Cynthia Diane Romero, of Henderson, Nev. She will also be dearly missed by her 11 grandchildren, Brianna, Kristin, Arzsebet, Jesstina, Crystal, Jerred, Kelsey, Malorie, Brandon, Dwight Jr., and Chelsea; and two great-grandchildren, Drake and Holidae. She was preceded in death by her son, Steve Romero and brother, Steve Deane. A celebration of Patricia’s life will take place Saturday, at 11 a.m. at Lietz-Fraze Chapel. The family has requested that people attending the service to wear colorful clothing please. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ovarian Cancer Research Fund at www.ocrf.org.
