WILSON, Frances Jeanne

Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona, Published Thursday, May 27, 2010. Frances Jeanne Wilson began her life at the Station Hospital, Fort Riley, Kan., Oct. 27, 1935. Born to Amos and Olive, she and her older brother, Albert, were raised as Army brats, even graduating high school in Bremerhaven, Germany, during the early ’50s while their father was stationed there four years. Fran and Harry moved to Lake Havasu City from San Bernardino, Calif., January 1989 because they enjoyed the lake and the weather. Fran and her beloved husband, Harry Wilson, met in Bremerhaven and were married in Columbus, Ga., Dec. 21, 1954. They raised two wonderful children, Aileen (Wayne) and Steven (Kaydee) Wilson. She adored and enjoyed granddaughters, Candace and Crystal, and great-grandsons, Calvin and Gregory; niece, Julia; and nephew, Leo. Fran traveled extensively throughout the world. She loved to read, cook, entertain and have conversations with all people she met even in waiting rooms. Each person she met was touched by her genuine kind and caring nature. All were impressed by her wonderful attitude. Our family and friends were truly blessed to have her in our lives. Fran left to enjoy eternity with our Lord in Heaven May 25, 2010. A celebration of her life will be at Calvary Baptist Church, 1605 McCulloch Blvd., in Lake Havasu City, Saturday at 10:30 a.m. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. We miss her smiles and cheerful ways. With her we spent many happy days. We'll miss her when we need a friend. We always could depend on her. A mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother true and kind, her equal would be hard to find. We will all rejoice when we meet her again in heaven.
