Veva “Vee” Jean White, 82, passed away April 9, 2010 at her residence in Lake Havasu City. She was born on March 28, 1928, in Harrison County, Iowa, to Thomas J and Martha E. (Gallaher) Diggle.
Vee and her husband, Lloyd, lived in Chino, Calif., for 35 years, where she was involved in PTA, Little League and “The Mother Singers.” She worked as a control cashier for the Department of Motor Vehicles in Pomona, Calif. She and Lloyd moved to Lake Havasu City 24 years ago. Vee loved gambling and enjoyed visiting Laughlin, Nev.
She had a great sense of humor and people appreciated her sardonic wit. Vee will be truly missed by everyone that knew her.
Vee was preceded in death by her husband.
She is survived by sons, John S. White (Michele), of Manassas, Va., Terry D. White (Christine), of Newbury Park, Calif., Rodney L. White (Gwen), of Philadelphia, Pa.; daughter, Jeannie Patterson (Bill) of Grants Pass, Ore.; sister, Eleanor Pulliam of San Antonio, Texas; grandchildren, LeeAnn, Nicole, Melissa, Corinne, Kathryn (Josh), Julia, Jacob (Aubrey), Luke (Sarah), Benjamin (Gwyneth), Joel (Kathy); six great-grandchildren and her very special friends; Dorothy Blevins, Terry and Barbara Norris, and Frank and Patty Costa.
A graveside service will be at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens today at 2 p.m. Words of comfort and Rev. Carol Sheffield will express inspiration.
