Published Sunday, April 4, 2010.
Robert “Bob” A. Friedman, age 79, entered his heavenly home on March 20, 2010 after a fatal car accident. He was born Feb. 6, 1931, in Torrington, Conn., to Elsie and Mathias Friedman.
Bob and his family moved to Compton, Calif., in 1944. He proudly
served in the U.S. Air Force, honorably discharged with the rank of Staff Sergeant. After that he entered Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree.
Professionally, Bob was a general contractor specializing in kitchens and bathrooms, which he enjoyed until retirement. His hobbies were playing bridge on the computer with four other people and he was always the winner. In addition, he was an avid reader of romantic novels.
Bob was blessed with two sons and two daughters from his first marriage. In 1986 while visiting Lake Havasu City, Bob met Jacky. They fell in love and, after their wedding, lived in Lake Havasu for 24 years.
Bob is survived by three sisters and one brother and several
grandchildren in California. In Lake Havasu City, Bob is survived by two stepsons, one stepdaughter, and his cherished grandchildren, Cassie, Madysen, Tommy and great-grandson, Aiden.
At Bob’s request, no service will be held in Lake Havasu City. His
heart was in San Francisco and that will be his final resting place.

Arrangements were placed under the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
