LEBLANC, Ned Louis, Jr.


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 05/28/2010 Ned Louis LeBlanc Jr., 69, died at home Sunday, May 23, 2010. He was the beloved and devoted husband of Laura Ardoin LeBlanc for 51 years. He was a native of New Orleans and raised his family in Houma, La. He was a graduate of St. Aloysius High School and thereafter proudly served his country in the United States Army for three years. He was a member of Council No. 1905 Knights of Columbus, and at death, a parishioner of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Covington, La. The most important thing to Ned was his family, whom he loved and enjoyed to the fullest. His love of his family and church was obvious to all who were fortunate to know him. He was passionate about the New Orleans Saints, and his hobbies included golf, hunting and the LSU Tigers. Loving father of and survived by Deborah (Richard) Watkins, Ned (Amy) LeBlanc III, Joan LeBlanc, Kenneth (Wendy) LeBlanc, and David (Melissa) LeBlanc. Cherished PawPaw of Richard Watkins, Jr., Mitchell Watkins, Brandon LeBlanc, Benjamin LeBlanc, Sarah LeBlanc, Carey LeBlanc, David LeBlanc II, and Katie LeBlanc. He is also survived by brother James (Sheryl) LeBlanc, six sisters Doris LeBlanc, Janice (Chuck) Stiebing, Alma (Richie) Hesse, Mary Ford, Barbara Normand and Bridget Spanja; sister-in-law Helen LeBlanc and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ned Louis and Alma Hicks LeBlanc, brothers Easton LeBlanc and Robert LeBlanc, sister Joyce Duke and brother-in-law Charlie Ford. Family wishes to acknowledge DaVita Dialysis Clinic of Covington and Hospice of St. Tammany for their compassionate care of Ned. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. May 28 at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd., New Orleans, La.
