HARRIS, Orville Ray

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 04/12/2005 Orville Ray Harris, 75, died at his home in St. Johns, April 6, 2005. He was born Aug. 9, 1929 to E.E. and Melissa Harris in Ethyl, Okla. He married his sweetheart, Carlene "Connie" Rogers on Oct. 29, 1948. They moved their family to Arizona in the early 1960s. Orville enjoyed woodworking. He liked to trade and sell and enjoyed the great outdoors and being with his family. He worked construction most of his life. He was retired as a heavy equipment operator. His survivors include his wife, Connie Harris, St. Johns; son Eddie (Pamela) Harris, St. Johns; daughters Kathy (Randy) Burchett, St. Johns and Missy Killian, St. Johns; brother Ed L. (Edna) Harris, St. Johns; nine grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. His parents precede him in death. No services have been announced. Burnham-Jewkes Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
