Judy Waters passed away May 5, 2010 at KRMC in Kingman from recently diagnosed cancer. Judy was born Nov. 11, 1943, in Stockton, Kan., to Margaret C. Carpenter Waters and Roy D. Waters.
She was preceded in death by her father, Roy D. Waters; and her brother, Alan Waters. She is survived by her daughter, Natalie Marko, of Kingman; her son, Jason Dial, of Santa Fe, N.M.; her mother, Margaret C. Tuscher; and two sisters, Donna (Jim) Toms, of Spokane, Wash., and Susan (Ken) Taft, of Chattaroy Wash.
Judy grew up in Spokane, Wash., and spent more than 20 years in Fairbanks, Alaska. In the early ’80s, Judy moved to Lake Havasu City and later to Kingman, where she was a general contractor, real estate investor, designer and business owner of Just Blueprints.
Judy was a strong independent woman who lived life to the fullest. She was a pilot who owned a vintage 1966 Meyers Aero Commander 200. She was a musician who played many instruments and an organic gardener who believed in holistic ways. Judy loved the outdoors and being active, and she was an avid bowler and hiker, played golf and enjoyed a desert romp on her ATV.
Her adventurous spirit took her to every continent. In her travels around the world, she acquired an impressive collection of art and trinkets to display in her home. She hiked Mt. Sinai, explored Egyptian pyramids and even slept on the banks of the Nile.
Judy will be remembered as a loving mother, a loyal friend and an intelligent and inventive businesswoman who left her imprint upon many lives. After a private cremation, the immediate family will celebrate Judy’s life by taking her up for her final flight.
