SHORT, Fay Warren

Fay Warren Short, 76, of Florence died Dec. 26, 2006 at Casa Grande Regional Medical Center. A celebration of life was held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Simes Mortuaries Florence Chapel, with Pastor Curtis Adams officiating. Mr. Short was born March 9, 1930 in Wenatchee, Wash., to Fay S. and Ethel (Innes) Short. He lived in Bethel, Alaska, and moved to Florence 12 years ago. He was a member of Florence Lions Club and enjoyed hunting, fishing, flying and growing oranges and grapefruit. He loved spending time with his family and having family and friends visit him in Florence. Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Xenia; a son, Brian Short of Prince George, British Columbia, Canada; six daughters, Tammy Colbourne, Kelly Caldwell, Cindy Short, Pam Barnes, Marsadese Marin and Lisa Short; two brothers, Innes Short of British Columbia and Hugh Short of Alaska; a sister, Hazel Lee of Vancouver, British Columbia; 21 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
