Randy Weatbrook left on his final journey May 19, 2010, from his home in Prescott, Ariz. He was born Dec. 18, 1942, in LaPorte, Ind.
Randy was in the Air Force from 1962 to 1966. While stationed in Spokane, Wash., he met and married Linda Peterson in 1965. He and Linda started a drywall business in 1968 in Spokane, expanding into the Puget Sound when they moved to Bellevue, Wash.
Randy was an adventurous man. He did many things: bungee jumping, skydiving, scuba diving, motorcycling and skeet shooting. In 1992, he and Linda rode their tandem bicycle from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean. He climbed monstrous rocks with his jeep and loved traveling. They spent the last 12 years taking many trips all over the world. He was a fun man to be around, always with a joke and hearty laugh.
He enjoyed playing games with his grandchildren and taking them on adventures. He rarely missed a new movie when it came out. Randy was a very generous and kind-hearted man. His wife Linda and children as well as his extended family in Utah and Spokane will miss him and have happy memories of fun times with him.
Randy is survived by his wife Linda; son Dan (Catherine) of Seattle; and daughters Sue (Tim) Lewis and Judy (Balin) Strickler of Prescott; as well as his grandchildren, Alex, Peter, Jack, Sophie, Sam and Perrin.
A reception celebrating Randy's life will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2010. A tribute service will start at 3 p.m. at the Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, corner of Cortez and Carleton in Prescott.
