Alice S. Hendrickson passed away May 18, 2010, at her home in Prescott, Ariz., after a brave battle with cancer. She was 66 years old.
Alice was born on Nov. 13, 1943, in Chicago, Ill. Alice met her husband, Alan, at Millikin University in Decatur, Ill., and they were married in 1966. They recently celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary.
After college, Alice started her career with Trans World Airlines reservations in Chicago. Her skill and graciousness were quickly recognized and she was promoted to the management position of Supervisor of Group Tour Operations. She continued this position until 1979.
Alice and Alan moved to Tucson, Ariz., in 1979, where they started a company to develop marketing programs for the trucking industry. Alice served as president of this corporation and was extremely proud of the many jobs she helped to create for their clients.
In 2006, Alice and Alan moved to Prescott, Ariz. Alice had many interest and hobbies. She loved gardening and was an excellent cook. Alice will always be remembered for her sense of humor, positive outlook and her intelligence. She was a kind, generous and compassionate woman who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her husband Alan, she is survived by her cousin, Kathy Schmidt; and aunt, Melba Bobzien of Scottsdale; and Alan's brother, Nels (Judy) Hendrickson of Colorado Springs.
Private cremation was at Bradshaw Crematory.
