Joan Blaeser, 78, passed away March 13, 2010. She was born and raised in Chicago. She met and married Larry Blaeser in 1954. They had and raised three children, moving to Havasu in 1983 after Larry retired from the Chicago Fire Department.
Joan is survived by her husband of 56 years, Larry; children, Laurie (Harlan) Fuller, of Bloomington, Ill., Larry (Linda) Blaeser, of Evergreen Park, Ill., and Dan (Isabel) Blaeser, of Havasu; grandchildren, Erin, Lisa and Kelly Powell, of Bloomington, Ill., Luke Blaeser, of Evergreen Park, Ill., and Justin (Trish) Bacon; daughter, Lilly, of Havasu; and grand-dog Harley.
Joan retired from the London Bridge Candle Shop. She served as treasurer for the Queens Bay Queens, a Havasu Golf League. She enjoyed fundraising for local charities, visiting with friends and family, and playing golf. She will be missed.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to: Haven Family Resource Center, Western Arizona Humane Society, or Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church.
Memorial Mass will be Thursday, at noon at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church.
