Dale P. Farnsworth, 87, died April 20, 2005 in Tucson.
He was born and raised in Colonial Juarez, Mexico. Dale worked as a hunting guide in Mexico. He married Pearl Skousen in 1939 and they moved to New Mexico and then to California where he worked for Douglas Aircraft before serving in the Navy during WWII. They moved to Snowflake in 1949 and raised their family. Dale worked in Snowflake as a truck driver and as a carpenter. He was an avid fisherman and gardener. He was always proud of his squash.
Dale is survived by four sons, Richard (Janet) of Snowflake, Jerry (Dorothy) of Washington, Melvyn (Kitty) of Arkansas and Robert (Darla) of Kansas; two daughters, Nancy (Dewey) Zufelt of Tucson and Dorothy Gibbons of Mesa; 27 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and three brothers and three sisters. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 23 at the Snowflake Main Street Chapel, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with a visitation one hour prior to services at Owens Mortuary in Snowflake.
