LOVELL, Gordon Dic


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 04/29/2005 Gordon Dic Lovell, 71, of Show Low, formerly of Whitehall and White Cloud, Michigan went to be with his Lord Friday, April 22, 2005 at Boswell Hospital in Sun City. Gordon was born April 30, 1933 to R.D. and Laura "Kate" Lovell (Sexton) in White Cloud. He married Carol Meyer in Sept. 1968. He joined the Army in March 1953 and was on his way to Korea on Armistice Day. Gordon was Honorably Discharged January 1955. He worked at the Newaygo County Road Commission, White Cloud City Police, and then Continental and Sealed Power in Muskegon, Michigan. In 1991 he and Carol moved to Arizona. Gordon enjoyed outdoor sports, cars, hunting and dancing. He was a member of the City of Show Low Senior Patrol since 1995. In 1999 Gordon received Volunteer of the Year for his work on the Senior Patrol. Gordon is survived by his wife Carol of 36 years; children, Karen Maike, Robert Lovell, Kathy Fetterley, and Linda Lovell; two step children, Cindy Knapp and Curt Fetterley; nine grandchildren, Meghan, Andy, William, Ryan, AJ, Sara, Jack, Samantha, and Jeremy; three great-grandchildren, Meah, Nathan, Raylynn; sister, Helen Sanders.
