On Feb. 28, 2010 Phyllis G. Walker peacefully passed with her family and friends at her side in Kingman. Phyllis was born in 1927, in East Weymouth, Mass., to Marion (Pierce) and Anthony Zeoli Sr.
Phyllis married the love of her life, Fred D. Walker, April 7, 1956. They moved to Lake Havasu City 36 years ago, enjoying the lake and many friends. Phyllis’s greatest joy was her family; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren filled her heart with love and joy.
Phyllis is survived by her son, Fred and wife Terri Walker, of Kingman; daughters, C.J. and husband John Larsen and Jeanne and husband Dale Hanson, both of Lake Havasu City; brothers, Anthony Zeoli Jr., of EWA Beach, Hawaii and Robert Zeoli, of Garden Grove, Calif.; niece, Janice Machaudo, of Florida, and Lori Walker, of Lake Havasu City. She also leaves behind 10 wonderful grandchildren, Brandi, Josh, Randy, Tiffany, Chris, Sheri, Becki, Merissa, Megan and Tommy Jr.; and 13 precious great-grandchildren, Mariah, Desire, Ricky, Christian, Brianna, Bradley, Austin, Kaitlyn, Koen, Mason, Grayson, Dakota, Nikki and a new little girl to arrive in May. She also was grandma to her little four legged babies, Rocky, Starr, Princess, Mollie, Mickie, Muffie, Bella, Tillie and Lexie, who she spoiled. They will miss her. Also a large extended family in Kingman and many nieces and nephews.
Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Anthony Zeoli; her husband, Fred D. Walker; daughter, Doreen Johnson; granddaughter, Kimberly Anne; sisters, Marion and Evelyn and brother, Frank.
Phyllis’s faith has been such a part of her life and was a great source of strength for her and her family in this time of loss. We as family will greatly miss her love and sunshine she always brought with her no matter where she went or whom she met.
Dear Mom – Grandma
We’re sending you hugs on Angel wings of gold,
Oh, so many for you to hold.
We’ll blow you some kisses in the gentle breeze,
With some tears on sad days like these.
The Angels are bringing you some flowers.
We picked you a bunch.
Softly placed in your opened arms,
One from each of us.
Your memory is our keepsake
With which we’ll never part.
God has you in his keeping,
We have you in our hearts.
Services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, 2170 Havasupai Blvd., Lake Havasu City. She will be laid to rest at Havasu Memorial Gardens.
