She was an extremely unique person. Her passion for helping people and volunteering with many organizations began in the earl 1960’s at the Phoenix Zoo, Desert Botanical Gardens and then on to the Heard Museum where she embraced the Indian culture.
Betty and her husband Bob came to Phoenix in 1952 and raised four children, Joy Guyer, Kent Guyer, Kim Guyer and Dawn Craig. Receiving her MA degree in 1963, Betty went on to become a school psychologist for the Creighton School District.
After Bob and Betty retired to Kallua Kona, Hawaii, she continued her passion for volunteering by working at the gift shop at the Hulihe’e Palace.
After her beloved husband passed away, betty returned to Prescott, Arizona. Here she spent her final days volunteering with the People Who Care and the Smoki Museum.
As a woman, she was always one step ahead of fashions, as a wife, she was supportive and devoted; as a mother, she taught her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren the diversity and love of mankind. Betty will be missed by all whose lives she touched.
She is survived by her four children; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
