Irene Armer Evans, 72, owner of the Desert Hills Cattle Company in Morristown, died March 5 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix.
Born in Payson daughter of a cattle rancher, she spent most of her life in the cattle business except for the few years she worked at the assessor’s office in Phoenix.
She and her late husband Earl Evans operated the Date Creek Ranch near Congress until moving to Morristown.
